Anne, who has more that 26 years experience in housing and regeneration in the North East, leads the Bridging NewcastleGateshead team. Anne was previously Project Director with Places for People where she oversaw the regeneration of Walker Riverside in Newcastle.

Jonathan Dunk
Head of Programme Management
Jonathan coordinates all elements of the programme management process, including programme development, project appraisal and approval, implementation (working with delivery partners), monitoring, evaluation of the impact of the programme and programme reviews.

Karen Anderson
Head of Research & Strategy
Karen is responsible for overseeing communications activity and developing and commissioning research for Bridging NewcastleGateshead. After considering the findings of this research, and through monitoring the housing market, Karen then makes strategic recommendations for action and leads on the development of BNG’s strategies, polices and plans.

Ian Mackintosh
Head of Finance
Ian is responsible for developing and implementing financial strategies to make sure that the BNG programme delivers value for money. This includes carrying out an annual efficiency plan to show improvement year on year.

John Sparkes
Head of Development
John leads on strategic development issues for BNG and contributes towards project appraisal delivery. He leads on the setting up of developer panels and design quality for BNG.

Graham Whitehead
Area Programme Coordinator
Graham oversees projects in the North Central area and East End of Newcastle, including activity in Walker Riverside and Byker, and he appraises projects in Gateshead which request funding. He is currently studying for an MSc in Urban Policy and Regeneration.

Andrew Sloan
Area Programme Coordinator
Andrew is involved in developing and coordinating the Bridging NewcastleGateshead schemes in the West End of Newcastle, and he appraises schemes which request funding in the East and North of Newcastle. He also responds to planning issues which may affect BNG, and he produces maps to assist with strategy or project development.

Michelle Playford
Communications Officer
Michelle is responsible for the communications activity for Bridging NewcastleGateshead, including developing communication materials, such as the website, resident newsletter and annual report. She also manages media relations, organises visits, briefings and events and works on BNG community engagement activity

Kevin Davy
Research Officer
Kevin works with Karen to constantly update and strengthen the firm evidence base upon which BNG bases its programme of work. Kevin also helps to commission and manage research to help BNG understand the housing needs and wants of BNG residents.
