Bridging NewcastleGateshead closed for business on Tuesday 11 April after eight years of work, breathing new life into Newcastle and Gateshead's housing market.

The Housing Market Renewal fund has finished seven years earlier than planned, as a result of the Spending Review in October 2010.

Since 2003, BNG have made a real and lasting difference to communities in Newcastle and Gateshead, with figures to back that up.

From April 2011, our partners at Gateshead and Newcastle councils are committed to continuing the legacy of BNG, and will keep regeneration on track in the priority areas of Scotswood, Walker, Bensham and Saltwell.

If you would like more information about regeneration in your area, you should visit your local authority's website, www.newcastle.gov.uk or www.gateshead.gov.uk.

BNG would like to thank its residents, staff from the past and present, all our partner agencies who have shared our vision and members of our Board for everything they have given to the cause.

If you have any questions or need more information about the closure of BNG, the details of people to speak to can be found on the Contacts page of this website.
