Felling

Community for families and young people

Our vision for Felling is to build on the excellent location and employment opportunities of the area, creating a community for families and young professionals.

Work will include:

• Development of new family homes on the site of Brandling, Gordon, Church, Carlisle and St Etienne Courts.

• 195 new two and three bedroom homes at Bishops Park, off Sunderland Road, by McInerney Homes.

• The UK’s first BoKlok houses at St James’ Village, by LiveSmart@Home.

• Investment of more than £2m in improvements in homes off Sunderland Road, including new doors and windows, new railings, pavements and garden walls, painting and pointing work and new back gates and security walls.

• Decent Homes work by The Gateshead Housing Company at Stoneygate Estate, Nest Estate, Sunderland Road, Newbolt Court, Tennyson Court and the Old Fold Estate.

• Development of the former Freight Depot site for new family housing.

Other exciting developments in the area include:

• A new community church.

• A new secondary school
